February 2016 –  Present

Develop multifaceted social justice campaign to defend and advance Ethnic Studies; Liaise between faculty, students, staff, administration, media and community; Contract with outside accountants to complete comprehensive budget analysis to successfully lobby for funding increase; Coordinate and execute direct action; Represent faculty to media outlets and local government; Solicit endorsements, resolutions and statements; Testified at the San Francisco Human Rights Commission.

Outcome – $750,000+ budget increase for 2016-2017 academic year; Established framework and timeline for future advancement

Worked with union leadership to coordinate and prepare for CFA strike; Led informational workshops on campus; Provided institutional support.

Coordinated fundraising event to address the unique needs of Nepali women and girls in the wake of Nepal’s April 2015 earthquake. Funds and services directed at supporting formerly enslaved women and girls and preventing human trafficking.
